The Sampson Arts Council, organized in 1973, has for the past 25 years led a continuous effort to improve the quality of life in our county by providing access to quality cultural programs and opportunities. The Council is located in Dr. Victor R. Small home on College Street in Clinton, NC. The Sampson Arts Council events include Headstart Storytelling, Ferrell Street Art Program, Indian Youth Dance, Administrative Operations, Living History, Gospel Singers, Annual Juried Arts Show, NC Symphony, Sampson Community, Indian Programming, Latino Community, Headstart Fun Day & Arts, Kirkwood Park Arts & Craft Day, International Reading Awards, 4-H After School Crafts Program, Migrant School, Dance Trackers, Writers Group and Sampson County Living History.

The Sampson County Agri-Exposition Center is centrally located at 414 Warsaw Road in Clinton and is situated on approximately 10 acres. The facility is ideally suited for a variety of functions including: wedding receptions, banquets, concerts, family reunions, trade shows and training seminars. There are two main halls, Prestage Hall and Heritage Hall. Prestage Hall contains over 10,000 sq. ft. and includes a performing arts space and can accommodate up to 1000 individuals for meetings and banquets. Heritage Hall is 5,000 sq. ft. and can seat 350 individuals. Also available is the Expo Room that will accommodate 30 individuals classroom style or 40 theatre style and the Bennett-Allen Board Room. The Sampson CenterStage Performing Arts Series offers residents of Sampson and surrounding counties the opportunity to attend live performing arts events of regional or national acclaim. Formed in 1999, the Sampson CenterStage Performing Arts Series presents performances from October through May. In addition to public performances Sampson CenterStage sponsors Class Acts-Sampson CenterStage for Students. Class Acts is a cooperative program providing students in the Sampson County Schools, Clinton City Schools and Harrells Christian Academy with performances designed to complement their courses of study. The Sampson Community Theater is a not-for-profit organization that has been providing a venue for local citizens to participate, produce and present local theatrical productions. Sampson Community Theater has served the community for over 40 years presenting a wide range of performances including drama, dance and musicals. The official home of the theater is an old converted movie theater in downtown Clinton that has recently undergone major renovations including new seating and a new sound system. Over the past years some of the shows produced at The Sampson Community Theater (all using local talent) include The Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, Harvey, The Boys Next Door, Bye Bye Birdie, The Sound of Music, The King and I, The Odd Couple, To Kill a Mockingbird, Oklahoma, Annie, Oliver, and Alice in Wonderland.
