As an entrepreneur or small business owner, where can I go for free consultative support?

We encourage entrepreneurs and small business owners in need of general support to connect directly with Sampson Community College's Small Business Center or the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina's (EDPNC) Small Business Advisors.    

Does Sampson County have an airport?

Sampson County does have a general aviation airport (CTZ).  The county is also a quick 45-min drive to Fayetteville Regional Airport (FAY) and under 80-minutes to two international airports - Raleigh-Durham International (RDU) and Wilmington International (ILM).

There are numerous entities that provide financial and in-kind support to new and expanding companies.  Some are competitive and some are discretionary.  Click here to learn more about North Carolina's incentives.  While the industry type does matter, other important variables include, but are not limited to, capital investment, jobs, and average salary.

 

Depending on the load, the load factor, and other variables, an electric utility may be able to provide some support.

 

Sampson County will consider local support for industry projects.

Will you pay a commission if my client purchases or leases County-owned property?

Sampson County will pay a Realtor commission if their client purchases or leases Sampson County-owned property.

 

Sampson County will not pay a referral fee, only a Realtor commission.  The County will neither pay a commission for property it does not own.
